SYNOPTIC SITUATION
A trough lies over the southern Coral Sea, and will deepen and drift westwards
today and Friday, while a high in the western Tasman Sea will intensify,
extending a strengthening ridge along the east Queensland coast.

FORECAST FOR MORETON BAY Strong Wind Warning has been issued for Friday.
Thursday until midnight: Winds: SE 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 0.9 metres. A shower or
two.
Friday: Winds: S to SE 15 to 20 knots early, tending SE at 20 to 25 knots by
late morning and increasing to 25 to 30 knots in the afternoon. Seas: 0.9
metres, increasing to 1.5 metres. Scattered showers.
Saturday: Winds: S to SE 15 to 20 knots early tending SE at 20 to 25 knots by
late morning.
